HRV: Heart Rate Variability. The most important metric in Nervous System Regulation:

Your Master Key to a Longer, Happier Life

Welcome! I am Salim Najjar, an inventor, a seeker, an entrepreneur. I’ve spent the last decade experimenting with ancient modalities and modern technologies. And my journey has led me to one metric as the ultimate marker for longevity, creativity, and higher happiness: HRV, (aka Heart Rate Variability).

Why focus on one little biomarker? Simple: Because HRV is a measure of your relationship to stress. And stress, on a cellular level, is the root cause of dis-ease and aging.

My mission is to free people from the trappings of stress so they can activate their greater gifts. The more clear and well-regulated your nervous system is, the more sustainable your “flow-state” productivity becomes.

This site will give you the foundation needed to begin your HRV journey— and will plug you into a global community unlike any other.

My HRV Journey

Like so many people in this modern world, my life has been a roller coaster of an adventure thus far. I’m grateful for ALL of it, and have learned to appreciate the highs as much as the lows.

Some high points on my journey have been working as an engineer at a Nuclear Power Plant and then quitting after 5+ years to launch a beverage company called Sound. Some low points on my journey have been my father passing when I was 7 and COVID wiping out 75% of our beverage sales overnight.

As these highs and lows fluctuate to greater extremes, I became acutely aware of the dangers of stress and the need for nervous system regulation, which can be measured through HRV. By sharing my lessons, experience and knowledge around HRV, my hope is that you start using this biomarker to transform your relationship to stress — and reclaim your power.

What HRV Really Measures

So what’s the truth about Heart Rate Variability (HRV)? It’s crucial to understand what it means and why it matters. This is arguably the most significant biomarker for health, happiness, and longevity.

HRV represents the variations in time between each heartbeat, measured in milliseconds.

HRV indicates how your heart is perceiving its ever-changing environment. In essence, HRV is a reflection of your relationship to stress, the health of your nervous system, and your heart’s agility at returning to stability—meaning how well do we get back into relaxation (parasympathetic response) after states of fight or flight (sympathetic reaction).

Two Simple ways To Start Improving Your HRV

HRV isn’t just about eating “healthy” and hitting the gym, though those may help. It impacts everything in your life – from the shows you binge-watch to the company you keep. It’s a measure of how safe and happy your heart feels in the moment. Why do you think some centenarians in Italy, puffing away on cigarettes and sipping espresso, live so long? They’re blissfully content with their lives, not sweating the small stuff. Note: I’m not saying to go smoke cigarettes. I’m painting a picture of just how big of a deal your perceived stress affects you on a cellular level and that mental stressors can sometimes be far more damaging than external chemicals.

The good news is, there are two simple and easy ways to start boosting your HRV—and no, they don’t involve moving to the countryside in Italy or traveling to Okinawa.

“Building a simple and daily relationship to HRV can immediately put you in the driver seat of stress mitigation, mood management, and full-body empowerment.”
